Doesn't imitation of Christ and the saints require sometimes unflattering comparison?
Absolutely, but I am suggesting (Comparison, rooted in jealousy, is the thief of joy). Comparison is unavoidable. But disordered comparison leading to ingratitude and jealousy, I think that’s the issue.
