I’ve found that resistance to our viewpoint manifests itself through emotional, partisan vituperation often wearing a biblical disguise, or intellectualist nuancing of CJWT into meaninglessness. So heads up for what’s coming.
Is it possible that America's "ally" is not an ally but an ongoing threat, both externally and internally? Is it possible America's "ally" has made it clear to America it will not hesitate to do something or several somethings to America if America does not "cooperate" in the "ally's" ongoing plans for expansion? Is it possible America is operating under duress and blackmail not only from the "ally" but from the other European "ally" with which America has a "special relationship"?
You’re not speaking incredibly plainly. I assume you’re talking about Israel? I don’t think Israel is a particularly good ally. I was speaking to a couple people earlier today and sharing that I think that the British mandate was a mistake and has created an untenable situation in the Middle East.
I don’t think our current alliances reflect the current state of affairs in geopolitics.
If our current alliances do not reflect the current geopolitical realities, is it possible, this administration is attempting to extricate the U.S. from those current alliances without beginning a cascade of unintended and likely catastrophic societal consequences? The U.S. has only 2 "special relationships" and they are incredibly dangerous to our ongoing viability as a nation. That's why some think the upcoming visit by King Charles is a last ditch effort to rein in Britain's recalcitrant colony, a colony which appears to be attempting to change the entire geopolitical chessboard.
It seems to me that the current administration is helmed by a megalomaniac who hasn’t thought through the mid or long term implications of his ever-changing actions.
This President was talking about the threat of nuclear proliferation and annihilation with Pres. Reagan. And ever-changing statements and actions are used to keep enemies off balance, both strategically and financially. The public, including Pope Leo, are not privy to what is happening behind the scenes.
Yes, I read it. My point is the administration may be constrained and not able to outwardly abide by the "just war" theory because that would give away too much of the strategy and too much about the threats the U.S. is under. War is waged most often by deception on all sides.
We’re in alignment.

Glad I’m not alone in my assessment!

Ok. What’s your point?
Did you even read my article? It’s about the just-war tradition…
