If you have benefitted from reading, listening to, or watching Good Distinctions so far, please consider becoming a PAID SUBSCRIBER for as little as $5/month!

All of the content here at Good Distinctions is completely free to access. If you have been with us for a while, you will notice that all previous paywalls have been removed. The desire is for as many people as possible to be blessed by the content that Will and Teresa are producing.

In the coming months, we have several guests lined up to come on the show. We have a huge list of exciting topics to explore. And there are many more great things in store.

This is a small thing, but as a Paid Subscriber, you will have the ability in the Good Distinctions Substack Chat to start new threads to pose questions, make comments and invite input, or just share something! If the number of paid subscribers grows sufficiently, Teresa and Will were also tossing around the idea of a monthly Zoom call - sort of “ask me anything” type of community event for paid subscribers!

Costs Add Up Quickly!

However, running Good Distinctions does not come cheap. There are legal fees (filing as an LLC, for example) and business fees. We use a few different software tools for YouTubers and podcasters that are instrumental in increasing audio and visual quality of our content. Likewise, we are using decent Shure microphones to deliver consistently good audio quality! Then there is the cost of Google Drive storage, web domain yearly cost, and other organizational tools. All of these expenses add up, and Teresa and Will need your help to sustain Good Distinctions.

Our goal is to continue to grow to the level where we can pick up a couple of sponsors to help cover costs and provide a stipend for Teresa and Will and funds for production and social media help that might be needed in the future. However, sponsors are only willing to pay for advertising when there are certain subscriber and viewer thresholds met. But to get to that level, Good Distinctions has to continue to grow and be sustained. On this front, things are moving in a great direction, but it will take a bit more time!

Your contributions will help buy us the time we need to create great content, post consistently, and increase our reach! All the while, we want to do more community related activities (such as “ask-me-anythings” on YouTube or Instagram Live, start more chat threads, pray for your intentions more specifically, and the like).

Current Figures:

Out of a desire for full transparency, here are the current figures:

• Income: $105 (thank you to Ann G. and Joanne J. for your generosity! - we are so grateful!)

• Expenses: $1,009.68

So, we are currently in the red -$(904.68)!

Much of this is “start-up costs” like microphones, cameras, and the like. But some of the software are, nonetheless, a few hundred dollars per year. And as we continue to grow, more costs will come to continue improving production value, community engagement, and reach.

Who Is Listening?

We currently have listeners/readers in 30 countries and 39 US States. It is incredible to have a Good Distinctions community representative in six continents (not many WiFi connections in Antarctica, I suppose…).

Free Subscribers: 122

Comp Subscribers: 256 (these were the original subscribers and I gave them a free year when I introduced paid articles - those paywalls are gone now)
