Good Distinctions

GOOD DISTINCTIONS ARE THE SPICE OF LIFE! In our increasingly polarized world, the vilification of those who disagree with us seems to be universal. At Good Distinctions, we desire to reignite good conversation, to seek out the best distinctions, and inspire others to do the same. While we are unambiguously Catholic, we nonetheless hold that we have something to learn by listening with charitably open ears, minds, and hearts to those with a different point of view than our own. Recognizing the perspective of another does not mean abandoning or watering down fundamental Christian truths. Considering the perspective of someone with whom we disagree does not need to lead to an existential crisis. Instead, it allows us to learn from the perspective of others while respecting their God-given intellect, will, and conscience. After all, to quote St. John Paul II: the faith is proposed, not imposed.
